Before you commence in any type of new physical activity, it is adviseable that you seek clearance from a medical professional beforehand.
By attending SWEATERGY® sessions, you acknowledge that you are in reasonable good health and have no major underlying health concerns that may cause any detriment to you participating safely.
SWEATERGY® sessions may feel like you're on a night out, or make you feel hot, hot, hot. However, high-heels and bare chests are not recommended!
Please wear comfortable clothing – preferably appropriate dance/fitness-wear, trainers or dance shoes that do not restrict your movement. It is important that your shoes cushion your feet and provide you with enough stability required for your session. It is also highly recommended that you avoid wearing running shoes if possible.
As you will be working up a sweat, SWEATERGY provides a bottle of water and a tub of fruit to keep you hydrated and your energy levels up. If you prefer, please feel free to bring your own water with you to sessions. You may also need a mat (possibly a light cardigan or jumper), depending on the type of session your're attending.
SWEATERGY® welcomes everyone 16+ to our sessions.
SWEATERGY® sessions are suitable for all individuals who are considered healthy and have no serious health concerns.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced participant, you can work at a pace that is suitable for your level of fitness and flexibility.
Absolutely! The most important thing is that you go away with a smile on your face. With regular participation, you'll feel much more confident too, so you'll be dancing like a SWEATERGY® pro before long.
There are no membership or joining fees.
Preferably. Spaces can get booked up very quickly. On the odd ocassion you may pay on the day, however, higher fees may be applicable.
Most sessions can be booked a minimum of 14 days in advance for weekly sessions, more for events.
All bookings close 5 minutes before class commences.
The warm up is an important start to any dance or fitness session. It helps to increase the heart rate, blood flow to the muscles, and also helps to prevent the risk of injury. Once the warm up has finished, it is likely that you may not be permitted to enter.
Please cancel directly through the gym or health club of which you're attending. If at another venue, please contact Sophia by phone or or text to make any cancellations. Please note: SWEATERGY® runs a no refund policy. However, Block4 or Block8 passes may be credited under specific circumstances. Or carried over to use at a later date.
With regular participation, SWEAT sessions may help to assist you in your weight loss journey. However, remember there are other contributing factors such as diet, hormones etc, that may also affect results. This should be taken into consideration.
If you have ANY serious medical issues, SWEATERGY® sessions may not be suitable for you. If you are unsure, it is important that you get advise and clearance from a certified medical professional before attending.
If you are pregnant and have been attending sessions for a while, it is generally okay to continue with your regular routine. However, it is important to listen to your body.
If you have never attended a SWEATERGY® session before, pregnancy is NOT the time to begin a new dance or fitness programme.
