Windrush 2024 - The Homecoming!

Love Camden hosts 'Windrush 2024' to mark the 76th anniversary of HMS Windrush, and the imperative contribution of the Windrush Generation in Britain.

Camden’s Windrush story is one which stands on the shoulders of pioneers such as David Pitt, Baron of Hampstead and Claudia Jones whose activism and campaigning shaped UK multiculturalism.

It is also home to a generation of Windrush children; innovators, creatives, artists, musicians and disruptors who have influenced the face of modern and contemporary Britain, notable names include Jazzie B, Zak Ove, Akala, Miss Dynamite and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

Learn and discover the history with podcasts and interviews from Windrush descendents, Black innovators, community leaders and more. Explore and enjoy Caribbean culture with special performances, music, food, arts and crafts. SWEATERGY® will be working up a little sweaty vibes on the main stage alongside amazing performers such as Omar, Aitch B, DJ Matt White and more.
